Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE) 2025, the Department for Education’s (DfE) statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance for schools and colleges in England, has now come into force (effective from 1st September).

Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework for England

The Department for Education's (DfE) latest version of the Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework for England has now come into force (effective from 1st September 2025). The NSPCC Learning CASPAR briefing summarises the safeguarding and welfare requirements in the framework for childminders and group and school-based providers. This includes information on safer recruitment, supporting and understanding children’s behaviour, promoting good health, and maintaining records, policies and procedures.
