Child Protection Conferences in Essex

Your opportunity to find out more about conferences and meet your local Child Protection Conference Co-ordinator.

Please note some sessions are being delivered virtually and some face to face

The workshops are facilitated by Essex County Council Child Protection Co-ordinators.

Target audience: These sessions are extremely helpful for anyone that works with children, families, adults with children (whether they live with the children or not) and adults with any family involvement.

Learning outcomes:

• It will give you a better understanding of how the conference and reviews work including expectations of professionals, the family, statutory and voluntary services.
• You will get a chance to meet with the Child Protection Coordinators that cover your area.
• If you are supporting an adult and children who may have Social Care involvement, then you may be asked to attend a conference to give your professional opinion relating to the support that you are giving and a recommendation in relation to threshold of significant harm.

Cost to participants: Free (Please ensure you have read the ESCB Charging and Cancellation policy before completing this application, as non-attendance or late-notice cancellation will result in a charge.

Cancellation

If a delegate fails to attend a course that they have booked, or cancel with less than five working days’ notice, their organisation will be charged - £20. A delegate will be deemed a non-attendee if they arrive 15 minutes after the course commences either online or at a venue.
