About the session: This session will explain how Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) work in Essex. This will include an explanation about the origins of MAPPA and the legal framework it operates under.

This is a structured PowerPoint based presentation but there will also be an opportunity to ask any questions during, or at the end of, the presentation.

Learning objectives:

  • Increased understanding of how MAPPA can help to protect adults and children from harm and disrupt further offending by perpetrators.
  • You will understand how your role can interact with and support MAPPA, and how MAPPA can help your role.
  • You’ll have an idea of whether a case you’re manging could be eligible for MAPPA and who you need to contact to start a referral process.

Cancellation

If a delegate fails to attend a course that they have booked, or cancel with less than five working days’ notice, their organisation will be charged - £10. A delegate will be deemed a non-attendee if they arrive 15 minutes after the course commences either online or at a venue.
