Safeguarding Children Level 3 - Designated Person Training
This training is not for Schools/Colleges/Academies/Early Years Settings/Pre-Schools - Education and Early Years settings will be able to book Level 3 sessions via Education Essex online
Target audience: This is a one day multi-agency programme for those who are the designated person for child protection within their organisation. This includes all agencies that are not education establishments.
Course requirements: It is expected that participants have previously attended level 2 safeguarding training or equivalent.

Learning outcomes:
- To understand the role and responsibilities of the designated/lead person
- To understand the legislative and good practice requirements for safeguarding children
- To understand what safeguarding arrangements should be in place to keep children safe

- To have the opportunity to reflect on current practice and make changes to better safeguard children and young people
