You are now able to request a place on the Southend, Essex, and Thurrock Domestic Abuse Board Annual Conference, dedicated to exploring technology-facilitated abuse. This year’s conference will be held in person on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls and launches our 16 days of activism.
Target audience: Frontline workers and managers - those working with victims, families and perpetrators of domestic abuse.
Learning objectives:
- Improve knowledge and understanding of technology facilitated domestic abuse.
- Improve knowledge and understanding of how abusers misuse technology.
- Improve understanding of available guidance and support to victims and approaches to perpetrators who misuse technology.
- For learning to be shared and applied to practice within organisations.

- Gavin Saunders a Cyber Protect Officer within the Essex Police Serious Crime Directorate and a subject matter expert within evolving and challenging area of Technology Facilitated Domestic Abuse as well as Stalking and Harassment.
- Dr Leonie Tanczer - an Associate Professor in International Security and Emerging Technologies in the Department of Computer Science at University College London (UCL).
