Last updated by Stephanie Rosser on Wednesday, July 23, 2025

NSPCC Learning has published a series of expert insight films on child criminal exploitation (CCE).

Child criminal exploitation is a form of child abuse where a child or young person is forced or coerced to engage in criminal activity. Children who experience criminal exploitation can be exposed to many different types of harms.

The films include contributions from several experts and cover a range of issues, including:

  • what child criminal exploitation is
  • the risks facing children and young people
  • the signs a child may be experiencing CCE
  • how professionals can support children and families.
