This November marks the first ever month-long celebration dedicated to care leavers across the county. The theme is Rising as Me: Overcoming challenges, transforming, and finding your identity.

Throughout the month, the Involvement Team at Essex County Council will be hosting bespoke sessions at drop-ins across the county, designed to connect, empower, and celebrate care leavers. These sessions are built around the key themes of this year’s Care Leavers Month:

• Creative identity and self-expression
• Resilience and empowerment
• Practical life skills
• Celebration and connection

If you work with, or know, a care leaver do encourage them to attend. Their involvement is what will make this month truly special. Session details below. (Young people do not need to book for the local sessions, but will need to book for the celebration event.)
