SETDAB Lecture Series: Female Genital Mutilation

This Lecture Series on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is delivered by Valerie Lolomari, Women of Grace and is aimed at frontline workers and managers – those working with victims, families and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

 

Wednesday 27 March 2024,  10:00 – 11:30 via Microsoft Teams

 

Learning Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of what FGM is, the harms and the reasons why it happens.
  • Recognise warning signs that FGM is either planned or has taken place.
  • Identify professional responsibilities, best practice for opening up conversation and encouraging disclosure, and routes to support.
  • To share lived experiences of FGM and of the work of Women of Grace.
