New child sexual abuse data from IWF

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has published a news story on child sexual abuse imagery online. New data finds:

  • a growing number of children under 10 are being manipulated into performing sexual acts online
  • 92% of webpages the IWF worked to remove in 2023 contained 'self-generated' material extorted from children
  • 21% of these contain the most severe abuse, known as Category A.
