Last updated by Stephanie.Rosser@essex.gov.uk on Tuesday, June 11, 2024

If a child is considered to be suffering, or likely to suffer, significant harm the local authority will make them the subject of a child protection plan.

NSPCC Learning has updated its factsheet on children who are the subject of a child protection plan

Each factsheet sets out:

  • the number of children who are the subject of a child protection plan or on a child protection register
  • the reasons children are the subject of a plan or on a register
  • the age and gender of children who are the subject of a plan or on a register.
