Infant Mental Health Awareness Week

Last updated by on Tuesday, June 11, 2024

Infant Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 10 – 16 June 2024. The week encourages people to 'speak up for babies' and ensure they get the care and attention they need for a healthy start in life.

Did you know a baby’s brain makes more than one million new connections every second? Their environment and interactions with people help shape the way their brains develop and the first two years of a baby’s life are important to their overall healthy development.

Infant Mental Health Awareness Week provides an opportunity to discuss the importance of supporting babies’ mental health and wellbeing and the importance of the first 1001 days. Find out more.
