The inaugural Power of Sport, Youth Crime Prevention Conference by the Active Essex Foundation will be held on 28 September, at Colchester United JobServe Community Stadium and will bring together partners from the criminal justice system, local authorities, statutory, community and voluntary agencies, and local trusted organisations who all believe in the power of physical activity and sport as an effective engagement, prevention and intervention tool.

The VVU are co-presenting a workshop which will explore using sport and activity to navigate away from criminality and exploitation.

Young people will also share their own lived experience of how sport and physical activity has positively impacted their lives.
