Created for the SETDAB Conference 2025 in Chelmsford, this youth-led film from Essex Youth Service shares young people’s experiences of mobile phones, social media and the online world.

Through their own words, the film explores how everyday phone use can expose young people to harmful content, peer pressure, online bullying and unhealthy relationship behaviours. It also highlights how technology can be misused to monitor, manipulate or control, and the impact this has on wellbeing.

The film aims to support a better understanding of technology-facilitated abuse and encourage professionals to consider how digital behaviour links to domestic abuse, safety and support for young people.
