International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation

Today is the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), a day which aims to raise awareness of FGM in order to end the harmful practice. Valerie, one of Healthwatch Essex's Trauma Ambassadors, runs a UK-based survivor led organisation ‘Women of Grace‘ advocating against the practice of FGM.
