ECFWS: Starting Big Adventures: Supporting School Readiness Across Essex

Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service (ECFWS) are delighted to share an exciting new offer for families across Essex – Starting Big Adventures, a new approach to supporting children’s school readiness that has been designed in partnership with families.

From spring 2026, a new Starting Big Adventures questionnaire is being rolled out across Essex for all children due to start school in September 2026. Every family will receive the questionnaire via text message, inviting them to complete it at a time that suits them. The questionnaire has been carefully designed to be supportive, strengths-based and reassuring.
