Safeguarding Children Level 3 - Designated Person Training (Virtual Session)

This training is not for Schools/Colleges/Academies/Early Years Settings/Pre-Schools  - Education and Early Years settings will be able to book Level 3 sessions via  Education Essex online

Target audience:

This is a one day multi-agency programme for those who are the designated person for child protection within their organisation. This includes all agencies that are not education establishments.

Learning outcomes:

• To understand the role and responsibilities of the designated/lead person
• To understand the legislative and good practice requirements for safeguarding children
• To understand what safeguarding arrangements should be in place to keep children safe
• To understand what to do if a safeguarding concern is raised and how you can support staff to recognise these
• To have the opportunity to reflect on current practice and make changes to better safeguard children and young people

It is expected that participants have previously attended level 2 safeguarding training or equivalent.
