Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) eLearning

The Centre of Expertise on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) has a short, accessible eLearning course for all professionals working with children on identifying and responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse.  Victims and survivors of intra-familial child sexual abuse can and do recover from their abuse, especially when supported by professionals who are trained to best support them and their families.  The CSA Centre’s first eLearning course, identifying and responding to intra-familial child sexual abuse, takes just 90 minutes to complete and consists of three engaging modules, with interactive tasks, video explainers and a final assessment.

Target audience:  This package is for those working or volunteering in Essex, Southend and Thurrock. It’s designed for professionals at all stages of their career; for those new to safeguarding or as a helpful refresher.

Course aim: 

  • To gain confidence in your understanding of intra-familial child sexual abuse
  • To be able to identify and respond to intra-familial child sexual abuse.

To access the course: Please access the training via the ESCA eLearning platform by following this link ESCA eLearning      

  • If you don't have an account already, you will need to register.  Select create new account and complete all sections. You will then receive an email with a link to activate your account.
  • Once your account is activated log in,

Once logged in

  • From the menu at the top, click on the HOME page
  • Then scroll down to AVAILABLE COURSES
  • Then select Child Sexual Abuse, then enter
  • Select Child Sexual Abuse again

Once complete, please take a screenshot and save a copy of your certificate
