“Everyone deserves to live a life free of domestic abuse”

Last updated by Stephanie.Rosser@essex.gov.uk on Thursday, December 10, 2020

Studies have shown that children are more at risk of being recruited into gangs if there are problems at home, and children who witness or are victims of domestic abuse can be at higher risk for health problems as adults.

New videos released last month on social media show different scenarios of domestic abuse while promoting help and support for victims.

While across Essex, repeat incidents of domestic abuse are down and arrests are up, the organisations that make up the Southend, Essex and Thurrock Domestic Abuse Board (SETDAB) are committed to making sure even more people are protected.
