SETDAB Lecture Series Lived Experience – Luke Appleyard

 

Date: Thursday 16 May
Time: 1pm to 2pm via Microsoft Teams



Target audience: Frontline workers and managers, those working with victims, families and perpetrators of domestic abuse.

 

Session Outline:
Luke is a survivor of childhood domestic abuse and will share his story of the abuse that he and his mum suffered at the hands of his birth father.

Luke will discuss the impact the abuse had on him as a child and how it's effected his adult life. He will share how he still has to implement safety planning as a result of ongoing stalking as well as discussing his role as a peer mentor, mental health first aider and podcaster.
